The Colin Dangaard Drover Saddle  is an exciting new entry level saddle, available with or without horn.

The dip in the seat is 4.5 inches and the poleys are also 4.5 inches.

The seat is web suspended and the underside is felt. The leather is solid cowhide with nylon stitching. The girthing plate offers two in-line slots which means the saddle can be cinched more forward, or back.

A third position is between the two slots, when the tackaberry lacing is passed first through the forward slot, then through the top slot of the tackaberry buckle, back up to the second and rear slot in the girth plate, then back down and through the bottom slot of the buckle.

The lacing now pulls in a V, with the pull between the two slots. The advantage of this third position — which is the STANDARD POSITION— is that the pull of the girth goes evenly over a longer distance, promoting more saddle stability.
